Lindo Lake Wildlife

This picture isn't so great, BUT Two Mandarin Ducks together is a great sight (and rare)  It was raining and these two were not cooperative.  They come and winter here in San Diego  @ Lindo Lake every year and sometimes spotting them can be challenging, but this day i was victorious :)

Another winter (and sometimes spring) visitor, a Northern Pintail and his mate :)

Nothing rare about this little bird, a female long tailed Grackle.  BUT i love these birds!  they have the sweetest voices.  Alot of people don't like these birds, (they're in the blackbird family) but i love them, I mean really, look at her, just hanging out on the side of a tree

this is Felix, he is the resident Red Tailed Hawk @ lindo lake.  This is not the best picture i have of him, but i really liked the moon in the background.  I have been photographing Felix for over a year, so he knows me and if i stare too long, he flies away.  (that's why i usually hide)

Just watching these creatures brings me joy.  If i get a good picture, great, but not necessary :)
